b. 1991
based in london
Most recently, I created a three-channel screendance (Call on Me, Me, Me) oriented around a set of overlapping interviews with my father, working with him to spin a new biography of our family’s history, genders, and bodies. Call on Me, Me, Me was presented at the 2024 Goldsmiths MA Artist Film and Moving Image degree show. I have shown prior work at APT Gallery, Coaxial Arts L.A., IKSK Berlin, the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, my bedroom, and underground bunkers all over Berlin.
I’m a visual artist working with moving image, photography, poetry and dance.
In my practice, I build multimedia installations that explore trans bodies and queer paradigms through their social, spatial, and somatic relationships, playing with legibility to expand trans representations beyond the flattening gaze of the eye. I seek to hold space for the contradictions, errors, collapses and mutations in narrative and history that queerness embodies.
inner and outer
physical and virtual
public and private
I center my own trans & non-binary body as a phenomenological site
of investigation, generating
material through a dance practice based in contemporary improvisation and somatics.
Pipilotti Rist, Ana Mendieta, Brian Massumi, Ito Takashi, Stéphane Vial, Hideo Kojima, Arca, DV8 Theatre, and Jeremy Shaw are all strong influences in my work.
